Georgia Apple Commission
The Georgia Apple Commission promotes and supports the state’s apple industry through research, education, and marketing efforts at home and abroad.
About the Georgia Apple Commission
The Georgia Apple Commission is a producer-established, grower-funded commodity commission, created by the Georgia General Assembly in 1962. They support apple orchards primarily located in North Georgia, with the exception of one orchard situated in Middle Georgia. The unique climate and soil conditions of these regions contribute to the exceptional quality of Georgia apples. The Georgia Apple Commission is dedicated to ensuring that Georgia apples remain a symbol of quality and excellence.
Agritourism
Experience the charm of Georgia's apple orchards through agritourism. You can enjoy a variety of activities, including apple picking, orchard tours, and tasting events. Agritourism not only provides a fun and educational experience for families but also supports local farmers and the agricultural community.
