The Georgia Cotton Commission, founded in 1965 and based in Perry, is a producer-funded organization dedicated to supporting the state’s cotton industry through research, education, and promotion. Funded by a per-bale assessment and renewed by grower referendum every three years, the Commission ensures Georgia’s cotton producers have a strong voice at both national and regional levels. Through its financial support of the National Cotton Council and Southern Cotton Growers, the Commission helps shape policy, enhance global market access, and unify growers across all segments of the industry.
