Georgia Vegetables Commission

Established by the Georgia General Assembly in 2006, the Georgia Agricultural Commodity Commission for Vegetables champions the interests of vegetable growers across the state. Funded through a penny-per-box assessment from growers cultivating 50 acres or more, the commission supports key crops like tomatoes, squash, peppers, greens, and more. With a strong focus on research, education, and crop promotion, at least 75% of funds are invested in research initiatives led by the University of Georgia and other institutions to advance Georgia’s vegetable industry.
