TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS AND PARTIES:
Pursuant to the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, O.C.G.A. §§ 2-12-80 and 50-13-4, notice is hereby given that the Georgia Department of Agriculture will be accepting written comments regarding the adoption of Rule 40-31-1-.07 entitled Tonnage Reports. The Department will be accepting written comments from January 14, 2021, to close of business (4:30 p.m. EST) on February 15, 2021.
SYNOPSIS, MAIN FEATURES AND DIFFERENCES:
The Department is proposing to amend current Subject 40-31-1 entitled General Provisions by adopting Rule 40-31-1-.07 entitled Tonnage Reports. In accordance with the recent amendments to O.C.G.A. § 2-12-75, which become effective on January 1, 2021; this rule will establish the following: who must file semiannual reports and what information must be presented, the tonnage fee associated with soil amendment distribution, due dates for semiannual reports, and the consequences for failure to submit complete reports or tonnage fees.
