Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper Encourages Georgians to Buy Georgia Grown for Thanksgiving Dinner

Atlanta, Ga - Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper and the Georgia Grown Program are encouraging Georgians to buy Georgia Grown items for their Thanksgiving dinners. Georgia Grown crops in season now include several Thanksgiving staples: apples, collards, sweet corn, sweet potatoes, pecans, squash, and more. Georgians can find Georgia Grown retailers in their area online at https://georgiagrown.com/find-georgia-grown/.

“From collards to corn and sweet potatoes to pecans our Georgia farmers grow a number of Thanksgiving staples, and I strongly encourage all Georgians to look for the Georgia Grown logo when they’re out shopping for Thanksgiving Dinner,” said Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper. “Buying Georgia Grown means not only getting the best quality products for your family, but also helping support our Georgia farm families as they continue to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Have a happy Thanksgiving.”
